Author's Message: "I believe that people can relate to the situation of the star - you see yourself in a big world, trying your best to shine as bright as you can and to find your purpose. I wrote 'The Star' to teach young people that with their powers and talents they are capable of so much. No matter how seemingly insignificant or small they feel, they are enough to make a difference."

the Star

Here is a simple, charming, story designed to teach young people that their powers and talents—however seemingly insignificant—are enough to make a difference. In this story, we are introduced to a tiny star who wishes to be bigger and to play a more important role in the night sky. He asks the moon how his light can grow in size, and the moon reassures the star that his time will come. “You will serve your purpose,” the moon says. The star isn’t convinced but continues to be hopeful.

Then a celestial event takes place that steals all the light from the sky and star rises to the challenge to bring a miracle.

Much like The Star, children are faced with obstacles they must overcome and eventually shine from their potential. The story enlightens you that even in the darkest of times, no matter how small you are, you can overcome it with faith in yourself.
